2. Eating a candy treat is not so bad if you eat well 90% of the time.
3. Don't focus on what to cut out (sugar, etc) but focus on stuff to eat more of (fruits, whole grains, etc)
4. When thinking about vending machine candy, think "would I be willing to hike to a store to get it?"
5. Make categories of food on a grocery list instead of specific foods, that way you can decide at the store and can see what will be healthier. (For example, put cereal instead of Fruit Loops. That way you look at all the cereal and maybe choose something with less sugar.)
6. Try to keep flavors to a minimum. Switching flavors too often tells the brain to eat more.
